Ftelia is considered to be a Neolithic settlement. Among the beaches of Ftelia and Panormo there has been discovered an ancient settlement 7,000 years old. There they discover Buildings, pottery fragments and dozens of intact vessels, obsidian tools and female terracotta figurines.
